Southern Area Employee Engagement Ambassadors Dr. Sharon Johnson and Louis Klegin are on a mission to encourage managers/supervisors to improve engagement with their employees. A room full of EAS employees from Fort Pierce to Opa-locka met at the West Palm Beach Processing and Distribution Center (P&DC) and exchanged ideas on how to build employee engagement and create a positive work environment.

Marlene Findlay, Manager, Customer Services, West Palm Beach Main Office Window Unit, shared her management style and postal experiences that ultimately led to her being named District Employee Engagement Leader.

“Because of the way that I was raised, it’s natural for me to always greet my employees and simply say ‘thank you.’ I always communicate with my employees, and I treat them fairly,” said Findlay.

At the end of the training session, all EAS employees made a commitment to improve employee engagement among their employees.
