Jensen Beach Postmaster Inge Boxill |
Inge
Boxill has made history in Jensen Beach as the first African-American
female to be promoted to Postmaster. As
the 10th Postmaster of Jensen Beach, she also is the first
African-American female Postmaster on the Treasure Coast.
Boxill began her career as a Flat Sorter Operator
at the West Palm Beach, FL, Processing and Distribution Center (P&DC) in
1988. She completed the Associate Supervisor
Program in 1999 and then transferred to delivery and retail operations in 2000.
In 2008 as a participant in the Management
Development Program, Boxill was selected for Manager, Distribution Operations
training in Jacksonville, FL, and Orlando, FL.
During her career,
Boxill accepted positions of increased responsibility. She was promoted to
Supervisor, Customer Services, Jupiter, FL; Supervisor, Customer Services, West
Palm Beach, FL, Delivery Distribution Center; and Manager, Customer Services,
Stuart, FL. She also was Officer In Charge, Hobe Sound, FL, and Palm Beach, FL.
Boxill grew up on
the island of St. Croix and relocated to South Florida after her military tour
in the U.S. Army.
