Juan W. Gonzalez has returned home to the South Florida District
as A/Senior Plant Manager. He began his career as an Automation Clerk at the
Miami Processing and Distribution Center in 1988.
During his 27 years of service, he has held numerous managerial positions with increasing levels of responsibility including Supervisor, Distribution Operations, Manager, Distribution Operations, and Senior Manager, Distribution Operations at the Miami P&DC. He also has served as A/Plant Manager at the Miami Airport Mail Center, and Mid Florida and South Florida P&DCs, as well as P&DCs in Atlanta, GA, Birmingham, AL, Fort Lauderdale, FL, Macon, GA, and Tampa, FL.
In 2010, Gonzalez was promoted as an executive to the position of Senior Plant Manager, Mississippi District, Since then, he has served as Plant Manager at the Orlando P&DC and Annex, and the New Orleans P&DC. Most recently, Gonzalez was Senior Plant Manager in the Houston District.
His educational accomplishments include a Bachelor’s degree from Florida International University.
Gonzalez is a candidate in the Postal Service’s Corporate Succession Planning. He has completed the Advanced Leadership and Processing and Distribution Programs, as well as the Executive Foundations and Executive Leadership programs. He earned a Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma.
He has received multiple recognition for performance including Area Vice President Awards in 2002, 2003 and 2010.
