On Friday, September 23, South Florida postal officials and mailing industry leaders celebrated National Postal Customer Council (PCC) Day. The Broward County PCC, Miami-Dade County PCC and the PCC of the Palm Beaches and Treasure Coast worked together to provide an outstanding venue for our customers to network with postal executives and to share experiences and ideas with other marketing and mailing industry professionals.

District Manager Jeffery Taylor welcomed guests and kicked off the meeting in the South Florida District Conference Center. He encouraged attendees to take advantage this great networking opportunity and to visit the vendor tables on postal and mailing industry products and services.

Postmaster General/CEO Megan Brennan delivered a video messaging focused on the Postal Service changing to better meet the needs of its business customers. She further explained that the Postal Service is streamlining its systems to make it easier for business mail to enter the postal network and providing customers with data so they can track their mailings.

As South Florida's keynote speaker, Isaac Cronkhite, Vice President, Enterprise Analytics, shared information on postal innovations and technology. Cronkhite is responsible for leveraging data and technology to provide the business intelligence needed to drive performance and improve efficiencies through enterprise reporting and performance measurement systems. He leads the Postal Service innovations in technologies and tracking systems, overseeing scanning improvements and the integration of network information visibility systems, including the national address management system.

U.S. Postal Inspectors Blanca Alvarez and Ivan Ramirez shared a video on the U.S. Postal Inspection Service's mission to support and protect the Postal Service and its employees, infrastructure, and customers; enforce the laws that defend the nation’s mail system from illegal or dangerous use; and ensure public trust in the mail. They encouraged mailers to contact them to give mailroom security presentations at their workplace.

Tom Glassman, Director of Data Services and Postal AffairsWilen Direct, talked about the latest products and services.

Special thanks to Customer Relations Coordinators Curlita Rogers-Saunders (West Palm Beach), Mirtha Uriarte (Miami) and Kelly Worthman (Fort Lauderdale) for organizing a successful PCC event.
