On March 14, the African Heritage Cultural Arts Center hosted an event in honor of late Civil Rights Activist Dorothy Height, the 40th inductee in the Postal Service's Black Heritage stamp series.

also presented a stamp enlargement to Miami-Dade County School Board Member Dr. Dorothy
Bendross-Mindingall and National Council Negro Women, Member-At-Large/National
Executive Board Metropolitan Dade County Section President Sandra K. Gipson.
The
Dade County Alumnae Chapter, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and
Miami Alumnae Chapter, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. members attended the event.
In planning the event, Miami Customer Relations Coordinator Mirtha Uriarte worked with the Metropolitan Dade-County Section of National Council of
Negro Women, Inc., Miami-Dade County School Board, Office of Mayor Miami-Dade,
Urban League of Greater Miami, Inc., and Cox Media Group, WHQT-Hot 105.
