This letter is to commend two personnel in your respective offices for their efforts to get out recent mail delivery problems resolved.

We moved into our new address in Delray Beach in August 2017. As we settled in, we quickly noticed we were not receiving our mail despite a forwarding request. When we spoke to our letter carrier, Steve Watson, he explained our mail snafu was probably caused because our residence was newly-constructed. Apparently, the former housing, now demolished, once used a different address. He said he noticed that none of the residents in our new six-home townhome development seemed to be receiving mail. He promised to investigate. Although the mail did start to trickling in, when we next spoke to him, he said there was still difficulty with the particular office that handles such issues. As a last resort, he showed them photos he had taken of our new residence and address on our front entrance!

In January 2018, I met and spoke with USPS employee Karin Nolf (West Palm Beach Address Management Systems Technician) about our continuing mail delivery issue. She was concerned and was extremely helpful. Within 24 hours, she investigated and determined the cause of the problem. She even called to let us know the actions being taken to resolve the situation and reassured us that our mail delivery would now function properly. With her help, even our neighbors in this new development are now properly registered in the USPS system.

We can’t thank these two individuals enough for their dedication and assistance in resolving this matter. They are truly an asset to the USPS and should be recognized for their efforts. As representatives of your organization, they are a stellar reflection of the commitment to good government service and helped make us feel welcome in our brand new Florida residence.
Signed,
Satisfied Delray Beach Residents
