Meet Our Manager, Human Resources

Tammy Deutsch

There is a new face on the South Florida Leadership Team. Tammy Deutsch is the Manager, Human Resources for the South Florida District.

A 20-year postal employee, Deutsch brings extensive Human Resources experience, including District Complement Coordinator, Safety Manager, and Labor Relations Specialist, to the district. She also has served as Acting Manager, Labor Relations. These positions were in the Ohio Valley District.                                                              

Deutsch started her postal career as a contract employee in the Marketing Department to assist in the promotion of Priority Mail from March 1991 – October 1992. This was the first time a contract employee was utilized in the Marketing Department.

In 1998, Deutsch was hired as a Part-Time Flexible Letter Carrier in Cincinnati, OH. She was promoted through the Associate Supervisor Program (ASP) in 2001 and served as Supervisor, Customer Services in the Cincinnati area, including Westwood and Corryville stations. In addition, Deutsch was Manager, Customer Services in Highland Heights, KY, and Newport, KY.

Deutsch is a recent graduate of the U.S. Postal Service’s Human Resource Manager Development Program and is Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Yellow Belt trained.

Deutsch is a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. She also has been involved in the community, having served on the board of a local non-profit organization that served homeless veterans in the Northern Kentucky, Cincinnati and Eastern Indiana areas.
