The Miami International Service Center (ISC) participated in the
Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (OSHA’s) Voluntary Protection
Program (VPP) re-certification program. ISC employees successfully achieved
re-certification for another five years!
The VPP promote effective worksite-based safety and health. In the VPP, management, labor, and OSHA establish cooperative relationships at workplaces that have implemented a comprehensive safety and health management system. Approval into VPP is OSHA’s official recognition of the outstanding efforts of employers and their employees.
Then Plant Manager Ben Vidal, along with Manager, In Plant Support Calvin Fritchey, personally thanked craft and management employees, for their ongoing safety commitment. Special thanks to Supervisor, Maintenance Operations Elizabeth Armstrong who was responsible for overseeing the second VPP re-certification and to Operations Support Specialist Johnnye Johnson who maintained the program prior to Armstrong.
