At a
June 8 breakfast honoring community volunteers, Feeding South Florida recognized National Association of Letter
Carriers (NALC) Branch 1690 Treasurer Starr Hunter (center) for her promotion
of this year’s Letter Carrier Food Drive. Also pictured are West Palm Beach Postmaster
Robert Weiser (left) and Feeding South Florida President/Chief Executive
Officer Paco Velez (right).
Hunter,
who delivers mail from the Palms West Station in West Palm Beach, has
contributed to the overall success of the Letter Carrier Food Drive the past 24
years --- and this year was no exception. Hunter promoted the food drive to her
colleagues and the public through various communications, including media, and
organized the distribution on food drive bags delivered to residents in West
Palm Beach and the surrounding area.
