Hialeah Postmaster Alex Alejandro
Manager, Post Office Operations (MPOO) Area 7 Louis Klegin
has announced the promotion of Alex Alejandro to Hialeah Postmaster. Prior
to this promotion, Alejandro served as Manager, Customer Service Operations,
Miami.
As Postmaster, Alejandro is responsible for an annual
operating budget of $31,382,649 million. He administratively is responsible for
344 employees who work at nine stations/branches/finance units. Hialeah has 185 city, rural and highway routes and 128,885 deliveries. In FY16, Hialeah generated $22,215,467 million (which includes $9,811,004 million retail) in
revenue.
“I’m very pleased to lead our dedicated team of Hialeah
employees,” said Alejandro. “We’ll work together to continue to provide
outstanding service to our internal and external customers.”
Alejandro began his postal career as a Part-Time Flexible Distribution/Window Clerk in Hollywood, FL, in 1997. Two years later, he became a career Distribution Window/Clerk at the Pines Carrier Annex in Pembroke Pines, FL. Shortly thereafter, Alejandro served as an Acting Supervisor, Customer Services at the Hollywood Post Office.
Throughout his career, Alejandro has been promoted to
positions of increased responsibility, including Associate Supervisor, Customer
Services, Hollywood Post Office; Supervisor, Customer Services, Olympia
Heights Branch, Miami; Supervisor, Customer Services, Pines Carrier Annex,
Pembroke Pines and Princeton Branch; and Manager, Customer Services,
Flamingo Branch, Pembroke Pines.
Alejandro also served as Officer In Charge in Homestead
and Opa-locka. He was detailed as Manager, Delivery and Customer Service
Programs; Manager, Route Evaluation and Adjustment Center; Manager, Customer
Service Operations, Hollywood; and Manager, Customer Services, Pines
Carrier Annex, Pembroke Pines. Alejandro also managed several district
delivery and route inspection teams.
“Alex has extensive postal knowledge and customer service
experience which are assets to this position,” said Klegin. “Please join me in
