'What Safety Means to Me!'

In the U.S. Postal Service, safety is a core value --- a commitment to establish an accident, injury and hazard free workplace where everyone works together to identify unsafe conditions and behaviors, and acts to promptly correct them.
“The South Florida District Leadership Team is committed to achieving and sustaining a world-class safety culture for all employees,” said District Manager Tim Costello. “Each employee has a right to  work in a safe environment where we all make an effort to eliminate the hazards that can cause accidents and injuries.”

The district leadership wants to hear from you. Employees are being asked to share their comments on “What Safety Means to Me!” and to pose for a photo (see sample above) --- to be shared with employees throughout the district -- via email distribution, the South Florida Postal Blog, district website, and Postal Vision. Employees who are engaged in maintaining a safe work environment and wanting to share their comments should talk with their supervisor and/or contact the Corporate Communications Office at 954-527-2941 for further instruction.
