Veterans Day falls on November 11. This day is the anniversary of the signing of the armistice, which ended the World War I hostilities between the Allied nations and Germany in 1918.
In November, we pause to honor those who served our Nation in uniform. They are our mothers and fathers, our brothers and sisters, our children, our neighbors, and our co-workers. Remembering their service is one small way of repaying the debt we owe our veterans.
Throughout the South Florida District, veterans are being thanked for their service. Over the next several days, the South Florida Postal Blog will feature postal activities that honor our veterans. Let's begin with a Tour 2 recognition celebration at the Miami Processing and Distribution Center. Please see below (more photos to be posted over the weekend).
Acting Plant Manager Don
Shandor opened the Tour 2 celebration with a “Thank you for your
service!” to all veterans.
Miami P&DC employees from all departments were present for the ceremony.
