"Owney" to Get "Own" Stamp in 2011
"Owney," the mixed breed dog who served as the unofficial mascot of the Railway Mail Service, posed with postal clerk George N. Marceau in Malone, NY, on January 26, 1897. In 2011, Owney will have his own postage stamp.
