The award recognizes functions, areas, districts, facilities, groups and individuals contributing to a sustainable workplace. This year’s competition will focus on 8 areas:
- Waste reduction, recycling and pollution prevention.
- Green purchasing and reduction of spending on consumables.
- Green transportation and reduction of vehicle petroleum use.
- Green facility operations and maintenance.
- Green mail processing and delivery operations.
- Green information technology and electronics stewardship.
- Selling green value to customers.
- Employee engagement in sustainability.
