'A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words'

Torrential rains and blustery winds did not dampen the spirits of South Florida letter carriers who fought Mother Nature to deliver their appointed rounds today. Earlier this morning, the National Weather Service in Miami issued a tornado warning for Miami-Dade County, a tornado watch for Broward County, and a flood warning in South Florida.
“Neither rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds.” Although it's not an official postal motto, it does apply today.
