recognition event.
The U.S. Postal Service has a long history of providing career opportunities to veterans. The number of veterans hired each year has increased through our partnerships with several veteran-friendly organizations and our participation in job fairs that target veterans. Nationwide, the U.S. Postal Service employs 113,000 veterans, including more than 2,000 service men and women in the South Florida District. Some of our veterans are on active duty or reserve assignments.
