It's 'Cool' to Win PMG Sustainability Award

To remain strong and keep our automation equipment running in top condition going into the next decade of the 21st Century Miami P&DC recently had installed three new state-of-the-art air compressors and dryers.

To save money on Miami P&DC’s water bills it also had a new water meter, backflow valve and water supply line installed to feed its chilled water towers. In addition to the aforesaid Miami P&DC had one new 550 ton chiller installed this fall and is in the process of having another one installed to replace its two 31 year old outdated energy eating 450 ton chillers.

These new chillers will help save on electric bills, lower our carbon footprint and keep our employees cool and dry throughout the hot summer months ahead.

For the second year in a row Miami P&DC received Honorable Mention for then Postmaster General’s Sustainability Award for saving over $308,000 on our electric bills. Last year it won the Postmaster General’s Sustainability Award for saving over $450,000 on electric bills.
