Miami Partners Promote Breast Cancer Awareness

Miami Dade College North Campus President Malou C. Harrison and the Student Government Association hosted a Breast Cancer Awareness event that attracted more than 200 students, staff members, and guests.

Postal Support Employee (PSE) Paris Whitehurst sold $756 in stamps in less than one hour. 

Miami Postmaster Enrique M. Suarez presented a Breast Cancer Research semipostal stamp to a standing-room-only audience. Student Government Association Governmental Relations Director and Master of Ceremony Leslie Gonzalez introduced Cheryl Mason, a breast cancer survivor who shared her experience. A performance by Show Stoppers Studio dancers concluded the program.

In addition to Suarez and Whitehurst, Communications Programs Specialist Debra Fetterly, Marketing Manager Juan Nadal, and Miami Customer Relations Coordinator Mirtha Uriarte represented the district.
