Career Expo Opens Doors to Future

On Sunday, August 18, the South Florida District Office was transformed into the land of opportunity where every employee learned that a positive attitude, excellent work ethic, talent, and perseverance would open career doors.

Colorfully-decorated entrances, doors, offices, and hallways greeted EAS and craft employees who registered for the Career Expo --- an action-packed day of educational workshops and networking opportunities.

Photographer Kelly Worthman captured event highlights (below). Additional photos and more event details, including employee interviews, will be published in future blog entries. Stay tuned!

South Florida District Manager Timothy Costello (standing) welcomed and thanked employees for investing in their future by attending the Career Expo.

Manager, Marketing Juan Nadal (standing) was a top-notch emcee who quickly captured the audience's attention and maintained an upbeat tempo throughout the event.

Employees asked questions of a five-member leadership panel. From left, West Palm Beach Postmaster Ernie Onody; Acting Senior Plant Manager Juan Gonzalez; Acting Manager, Post Office Operations, Area 1 Michelle Jarrell; Acting Plant Manager, Miami Processing and Distribution Center Adrienne Marshall; and Pompano Postmaster Mike Vecchitto.

Employees gathered in the conference center for opening and closing remarks, as well as for a continental breakfast and luncheon.
