2010 Open Season December Deadlines

Do you know your USPS Employee Identification Number (EIN) and USPS Personal Identification Number (PIN)? You’ll need these numbers to make benefit elections during Open Season.

The Postal Service has improved and streamlined its system of employee self-service transactions. Employees must use their EIN and USPS PIN to access PostalEASE, which is the convenient, secure system for making changes to, or enrolling in, Flexible Spending Accounts, Federal Employee Health Benefits Program, and the Annual Leave Exchange Program (among other personnel actions). Savings Your EIN is printed on the top line, directly to the right of your name, on your earnings statement.

There are a couple of ways to immediately reset your PIN if you’ve forgotten or need to reset it. You can go to http://liteblue.usps.gov/ and click on “Forget your PIN?” or go to Blue on an ACE computer or at an employee self-service kiosk. Click on “Employee Self-Service,” then PostalEASE and follow the instructions.

If you can’t get to a computer, call 877-477-3273 and press 1. When prompted, enter your Employee ID. When prompted for your USPS PIN, pause and then press 2. Your USPS PIN will be mailed to your address of record the next business day.
