Toys for Tots Campaign to Brighten Holidays

Employees may brighten the holidays for less fortunate children in the community. The South Florida District is participating in the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots Drive through December 17.

Each donated toy should cost at least $10 and should not include any chemicals or have a military theme (i.e. plastic guns).

This year the district is sponsoring a contest to determine the plant and Post Office whose employees donate the most toys in the designated container at their work unit. Each participating location must ensure that the designated red placard is used to identify hampers of toys dispatched to their respective plants. Finance units should identify their parent station on the placard to ensure proper credit. Marines will visit winning facilities to present a plaque to employees.

Toys for Tots promotional posters have been distributed to all plants and Post Offices. Cardboard collection boxes should be decorated with the posters and holiday wrapping paper, and then placed in employee work areas only, not in Post Office lobbies.

Any questions about the campaign may be directed to Damaris Agrait, Manager, Learning Development and Diversity, at (305) 470-0881 or (786) 493-5119.
