Calling All Creative Retail Associates

“Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer,” the nation’s longest-running and highest-rated Christmas television special “went down in history” to receive its stamp of approval. The set of four Limited Edition Forever stamps depicting Rudolph, Hermey, Santa and Bumble were created from still television frames from the special which premiered 50 years ago in 1964.

Like Rudolph and his friends, South Florida Retail Associates can go down in postal history.

“We’re asking our Retail Associates to capture the holiday spirit, release their creativity, and generate revenue through participation in the District Holiday Display Design Competition,” said Sergio Rodriguez, Acting Manager, Retail. “We’ve extended the deadline to December 13 to give more retail units an opportunity to participate.”

Retail Associates are asked to create a holiday display, incorporating postal products, for recognition in one or more of the following categories:

Highest SSK/APC Adoption Rate (must exceed minimum adoption rate of 35%)
Best Overall Display
Most sold Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer four-stamp designs

Photo entries should be submitted via email to Sergio Rodriguez on or before December 13. Be sure to type “Rudolph Competition” in the subject line. A panel of judges from the Marketing Department will review photo entries and then will visit select retail units prior to a final decision on the winner.

The prize? A catered lunch for all Retail Associates at the winning unit.
