Gray is West Palm Beach Plant Mgr


Linda Gray has been appointed to the position of Plant Manager, West Palm Beach Processing and Distribution Center (P&DC). She had been serving on an executive detail assignment in this role since July 2016.
 
In her new position, Gray is responsible for overseeing operations at the West Palm Beach P&DC, where 618 employees process over one billion pieces of mail annually. This facility has an annual operating budget of more than $74 million.
 
Gray began her postal career as a Multi-Position Letter Sorting Machine (MPLSM) Clerk in Tampa FL in 1985. She later accepted various positions of increasing responsibility, including Supervisor of Mails; Manager, Distribution Operations; and Manager, Processing and Distribution Facility. In 2006, Gray became the Manager, Airport Mail Center, Atlanta, GA. She also served as Postmaster, Stockbridge, GA; and Manager, Customer Services, Bradenton, FL.

In 2012, Gray was named Manager, Marketing, Houston District. Later, she was selected Plant Manager, South Florida Logistics and Distribution Center (L&DC), which then was renamed Royal Palm Processing and Distribution Center (P&DC), Opa-locka, FL.

Gray has held several detail positions, such as Senior Operations Manager; Post Office Activation Coordinator; and Acting Plant Manager in locations in Houston, TX; Macon, GA; and Opa-locka, FL. In 2016, she was named Acting Senior Plant Manager for the Louisiana District.

Gray earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management at Florida State University and a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management from Troy State University. She is a graduate of the U.S. Postal Service’s Advanced Leadership Program (ALP) and was one of two Executives in the Southern Area to be the first to earn a certified Lean Six Sigma (LSS) black belt.
