Fort Lauderdale Stamps Out Hunger

Fort Lauderdale Main Office Carrier Annex Letter Carrier Laura Schofield (left) and LifeNet4Families Team Lead J.R. McFarling (right) were pleased with the amount of canned goods donated in the 25th annual Letter Carrier "Stamp Out Hunger" Food Drive. Schofield returned to the carrier annex with her Long Life Vehicle filled with canned goods that benefited local residents in need.
"When I was a kid, we used the food bank all the time," said Schofield. "The food drive is such a beautiful thing!"

National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) Branch 2550 Vice President Brett Israel (above) joined Fort Lauderdale Postmaster David Guiney (not pictured) to kick off the 2017 "Stamp Out Hunger" Food Drive. Guiney and Israel handed out Letter Carrier Food Drive bags and spoke with customers in the lobby of the Fort Lauderdale Main Office.
