Worrell Thanks Jupiter Coworkers

Front Row, L to R: Jupiter Main Post Office Postal Support Employee Cheree Emmans; Postal Support Employee Dominique Pierce; Distribution Clerk Tashika Barnett; SSDA Maryann Tucker; Postmaster LaConnia Watkins; Supervisor, Customer Services Anthony Rufolo; and Letter Carrier Julie Percival. Back Row, L to R: SSDA Gloria Elamin; SSDA Luz Herrera; Supervisors, Customer Services William Mooney and Elizabeth Woods; SSDA Moise Mckenzie, and Laborer/Custodian Vincent Destesanis.

This is the first year Jupiter employees observed Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Cancer is so widespread that it has touched not only some of their family members, but coworkers as well.

“I’m so thankful to be at the Jupiter Post Office, I couldn’t ask for a better Post Office to work for.  I ran out of leave after three months in October 2012, and it was my postal family that rallied around me.  I am a single mother and my concerns were for my son and myself in terms of how I was going to make it,” said Letter Carrier Marci Worrell who was out of work for one year. “Thanks to my Jupiter Postal Family who graciously donated leave and helped with my son, Caring for Postal Families, and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, my needs were met, and I am so thankful.”

“Marci is a real survivor,” said Postmaster LaConnia Watkins. “I know how far she’s come to where she is today, and her dedication is commendable.”
