Dixon is A/Plant Manager, Miami ISC

Operations Industrial Engineer Sheldon Dixon is detailed as A/Plant Manager, Miami International Service Center (ISC). Benjamin Vidal retired as Plant Manager in December 2015.

Dixon began his postal career as an Operations Industrial Engineer in the South Florida District. He has been successful in numerous detail assignments including Manager, Distribution Operations, South Florida Logistics and Distribution Center (L&DC); Senior Manager, Distribution Operations, South Florida Processing and Distribution Center (P&DC); Plant Manager, Fort Lauderdale Processing and Distribution Center (P&DC); Senior Manager, Distribution Operations, Miami Processing and Distribution Center (P&DC); and Lead Manager, In-Plant Support, Miami P&DC. He also served as the Network Optimization Coordinator for the consolidation of the Fort Lauderdale and South Florida facilities into the Miami P&DC.

Dixon received his Green Belt certification in 2012 and became Black Belt certified in 2013. Currently, he is pursuing his Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt certification. As the South Florida District’s Lean Six Sigma Coordinator, Dixon has saved the District over 5.6 million dollars to date.

Prior to joining the U.S. Postal Service, Dixon worked for three years as a Manufacturing Engineer for Ernie Green Industries, Tier 1/Tier 2 Supplier for General Motors and Toyota. During his time there, he became Toyota Production System (TPS) Green Belt certified.

Dixon is a native of Broward County, Florida.  He graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering.
