If it's in the mail, it's in your email.
Informed Delivery is a new feature that provides residential consumers with digital previews of their incoming mail.
The Postal Service completed the national rollout of the free, optional feature late last week. Consumers in 31,000 ZIP Codes are now eligible for the feature.
Informed Delivery users receive images of the outside of their household’s letter-sized mailpieces soon before they arrive in their physical mailboxes. These images can be viewed via email, or they can be accessed on an online dashboard.
USPS is also encouraging employees to sign up and use the feature first-hand. Signing up is voluntary and must be completed off the clock.
Visit informeddelivery.usps.com and click → View My Mail. If you already have a personal usps.com account, sign in. If not, create an account.
Once signed in, go to → My Preferences. Under Account Management, you will see a box for Informed Delivery. Click → Manage Your Mail*.
Opt in to Informed Delivery by selecting the check box, and confirm your address. Complete the identity verification process (if you have not already done so).
You should start receiving notifications within the next few days. Click the blue → Informed Delivery button to continue to your dashboard.
